Topic: BE PERSUADED!
THEME SCRIPTURE:
2 Timothy 1:12 (NKJV)
For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
MESSAGE:
The walk of faith is a walk of persuasion. To be persuaded, is to be moved by argument or entreaty to a belief or course of action.
Our theme Scripture is a reference to Apostle Paul’s persuasion, that God was able to keep what he had committed to Him until the Day of Christ. Apostle Paul was not ashamed of his sufferings for preaching the gospel; he knew the God, whom he had believed, and that knowledge persuaded him to keep hope alive in the midst of his sufferings.
Do you know the God whom you have believed? Are you persuaded that He is able to keep that which you’ve committed to Him until the Day of Christ? Be persuaded!
Be persuaded that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He said He will build His Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). The phrase, “The gates of hell” refers to the decisions and projections from the pit of hell. Be persuaded that if the decisions and projections from the pit of hell couldn’t annihilate the Church yesterday, they cannot annihilate the Church today, because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
If you’re ever going to build your faith strong, you’ve got to be persuaded that God is able to use the very thing that kills others to keep you alive.
