Topic: THE PROOF OF ANSWERED PRAYER
THEME SCRIPTURE:
1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV)
[14] Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. [15] And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
MESSAGE:
Prayer is not a guess work; it is not based on trial and error. Prayer is a certainty that WE HAVE whatever we ask for, so far as what we ask for is according to God’s Will.
One may ask, “If I have what I ask for, where is it?” The answer is simple: Whenever you ask for anything according to the Will of God, there’s a witness in your heart; a certainty and a confidence, that, it is done!
Just as the Spirit of God bears witness with our spirit that we’re the children of God, He also bears witness with our spirit that our prayer is answered. That witness in your heart is the proof of answered prayer.
This witness is as good as having in your hands what you’ve asked for. It’s so good that you can start giving thanks for answered prayer, knowing that it is done, though you don’t have it physically yet. It’s about time we cultivate this confidence in God. That’s one major reason why we speak in tongues.
The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us according to the Will of God whenever we pray in tongues. In the process, He gives an indication in our hearts that it is done! Once you have that witness, you have the proof of answered prayer.
