The word “spontaneous” means something which is performed or occurs suddenly and without premeditation or external stimulus. Spontaneous occurrences are characterised by suddenness and speed. The visitation of the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost was a typical example of the spontaneity of supernatural events (Acts 2:1-4). The SPONTANEOUS explosions of the power of God are SUDDEN and they take us by SURPRISE. We are about to enter our seasons in which good things rush into our lives.
The word “spontaneity” refers to something that is instant, impulsive (Romans 8:26-28), instinctive and involuntary (John 6:63). The children of God are led by the Spirit of God (Romans 8:14-16). Instantness, impulsiveness, instinctiveness and involuntariness characterise the spontaneity of the Holy Ghost. Spontaneity describes the nature of the explosive work of the Holy Ghost – it is sudden and powerful.
The absence of the element of spontaneity in Christianity should be a major concern to believers. Spontaneity is what makes the Bible exciting. It is one of the major differences between the Bible and other works of literature. Spontaneity attracts doubtful people to the works of God.
Prayer:
Pray for the manifestation of spontaneous blessings in your life.
