Month Theme: Restoration
Topic: The Restored Position
Scripture Reading: Genesis 40:1-20
Main Text:
Genesis 40:13
13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
You lose respect, property and relevance when you lose your position. When you are restored to your position, they come back. Losing your position is tantamount to being in prison. Many have lost jobs, ministries and family during the covid-19 pandemic. Restoration is now; it is not far away and it is easy.
God used three things to restore the butler to his position – a dream, a man and time (Genesis 40:9-13, 20-21).
1. Dream - The butler dreamed, it was interpreted and it came to pass. Your dream is not just another dream. Abort satanic and negative dreams. Enforce and appropriate the supernaturality of positive dreams.
2. Dungeon-mate - Joseph, a dungeon-mate to the butler interpreted his dream and he was restored to his position. The interpreter of your dream is not far away from you. His or her conditions may be as bad as yours but he or she has your answer. Don’t look for special or perfect people to interpret your dreams.
3. Days - The butler was restored in just three days. God does not need weeks, months and years to restore you.
God is the one who restores you to your position (1 Samuel 2:8). Natural means are supernatural in God’s hands. If the omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient God wants to restore you to your position, He does not need difficult methods, means and long years to do so. The butler in the dungeon with Joseph was restored to his position by ordinary means.
Prayer: Pray and demand the restoration of any deserved position you’ve lost or been denied.
