Month Theme: Reaping in the Jubilee
Topic: The Period of Rest
Scripture Reading: Luke 4:16-21
Main Text:
Luke 4:19
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Jesus Christ “proclaimed the Jubilee” to the people who lived in Israel during His earthly walk and the believers of today, by preaching the acceptable year of the Lord. The Messiah declared that all things were delivered to Him by the Father. The Father liberates those who are in bondage and delivers them to Jesus Christ during the acceptable year of the Lord. He repossesses all the things satan has illegally taken and delivers them to Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ invited the multitude who laboured and were heavy laden to come to Him for rest (Matthew 11:27-30). The invitation made those who believed in Him partakers of the things that were delivered to Him. Freedom from bondage is a gift from God but His people must pray to Him for it (2 Chronicles 7:14). Repentance and humility are compulsory for restoration to our original position with God. Pride and spiritual inactivity keep us in perpetual bondage.
The Jubilee is a period of rest. Our yoke is easy and our burden is light. In this book, we shall study the believer’s Jubilee in Jesus Christ. We don’t have to wait every fifty years to experience our Jubilee. From the day Jesus Christ declared “it is finished” on the Cross, He proclaimed our Jubilee. We are free from the works of the devil, including sin, sickness, poverty, depression and death. The year of Jubilee is a year of RELEASE, REVIVAL AND RESTORATION:
Release from bondage.
Revival in the presence of the Lord.
Restoration of our lost inheritance.
Prayer: Pray and declare your release, revival and restoration.
