Month Theme: Faith
Topic: The Three Warnings - The Evil
Scripture Reading: Hebrews 11:1-40
Main Text:
Hebrews 11:7
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
It takes faith to believe that human beings are becoming more and more evil upon the earth. We deny the wickedness of people especially against the Church. We must believe and be warned about the wickedness and evil in people. The Church is taking the warnings about the wicked agenda of evil people in this era for granted.
Jesus Christ, one day, said to His hearers “beware of men” (Matthew 10:17). That was to say men can be evil. God looked upon the face of the earth and saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (Genesis 6:5-6). The heart of the natural man is deceitful and wicked, and unfortunately, we cannot tell what is hidden in a man’s heart (Jeremiah 17:9).
It will take God to reveal the heart of man (including our own hearts) to us. He has always warned His children about the wickedness of man’s heart and other impending dangers. It is however, not enough to hear the warning, we must pay heed to it. Noah did not despise God’s warning, and it resulted in the preservation of his family. Likewise, the people Nineveh heeded to God’s warning through Jonah, and the city was saved (Jonah 3:1-10). We will escape destruction if we give attention to God’s warning.
Prayer: Pray that your spirit will be alive to warnings from God.
