Month Theme: Faith
Topic: Seeing by Faith - Advancement
Scripture Reading: Hebrews 11:1-40
Main Text:
Hebrews 11:7
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
As mentioned in yesterday's devotional, there are two kinds of seeing: Seeing with our natural eyes and seeing by faith. We see with the eyes things that are present but by faith Noah saw things that were not with him (Hebrews 11:7). Noah did not see the flood as something that was meant to kill him – though he lost relatives and the world around him. He saw it with the eyes of faith – he saw God in it.
Noah’s faith made him see the flood differently. The aim of the flood was to give Noah the advantage in life. Apart from having advantage, Noah received advancement. The flood gave Noah advancement because it positioned him on the mountains of Ararat – lower slopes of the chain of mountains of Armenia (eastern Turkey) at the northern end of the Mesopotamian floodplain (Genesis 8:4-6).
Mount Ararat is your place of REST. The wind or flood of life will carry you to your rest.
Your repositioning is now. To see by faith, we must yield to the supernatural source – the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).
It is easy to see things that are present with us. Anybody can do that.
It is supernatural to see things are not with us.
Prayer: Pray that any seemingly stagnant or stagnant situation in your life will receive advancement.
