Month Theme: Faith
Topic: Keys to Saving your House - Revelation
Scripture Reading: Genesis 6:1-15; Hebrews 11:1-40
Main Text:
Hebrews 11:7
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
The word save – rescue or deliver – implies comprehensive salvation. Salvation for our houses must be comprehensive, decisive and complete (Hebrews 11:7). Comprehensive salvation involves salvation from all the assailants that attack and take control of our houses.
God gives us the keys to save our houses. Righteousness is the first key. The other irrefutable key we will discuss is Revelation. Revelation of the truth makes us and our houses free (John 8:32). Noah had revelation others did not – He had revelation of God, the evil in his day, the Nephilim, the coming flood and how to construct the ark. He knew about things that were not seen (Hebrews 11:7). Revelation is when you see, know and access what others don’t.
Righteousness led to the divine invitation of Noah into the ark of salvation. Righteousness separates you from the rest. Your credit of righteousness affects your house members. Noah's revelation resulted in the salvation of his house. Abraham had a revelation of where God was taking him, whilst Lot was led by natural vision. Lot later survived the Sodom destruction because of Abraham. You cannot save your house, if you do not see what they do not see. You need to see further.
Prayer: Pray for the grace to see and hear beyond the natural.
