Topic: YOUR JOY HAS COME
THEME SCRIPTURE:
Psalm 30:4-5 (KJV)
[4] Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. [5] For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
MESSAGE:
Joy cometh in the morning! What an assurance from God. In the same way that God’s mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), joy also comes in the morning.
The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10b). Thank God, we were born again with joy! The fruit of the recreated spirit is love, joy, peace...etc (Galatians 5:22-23). You have joy in you, if you’re born again. But the circumstances of life can dampen your joy. When satan attacks, he aims at your joy, because, when your joy is deflated, you’ll have no strength to persevere. The joy of the Lord is your strength, that’s why Isaiah 12:3 (KJV) says, “Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” We draw water from the wells of salvation by using joy as our receptacle. This has to do with the satisfaction that comes from the Word and the Spirit as we work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.
Since your joy can be dampened, Philippians 4:4 (KJV) says, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” And you can do that, when you take cognizant of the reality, that, joy comes in the morning. Once you’ve seen yet a new day, you can rejoice, because, your joy has come!
