Topic: The Evidence of Resistance

Scripture Reading: Zechariah 4:1-14

Zechariah 4:6
6  Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Resistance is the evidence of spiritual power. Satan does not resist something that is not a threat to him. He attacks both spiritual and secular things and people that have the power to plunder his kingdom. A great mountain resisted Zerubbabel (Zechariah 4:7).

Satan put obstacles in his way just as he resisted the ecclesiastical power of Joshua the high priest. The forces of resistance knew the effectiveness of civil power and did everything possible to stop it from operating (Matthew 16:18-19).

Believers who operate in the civil anointing have the tendency of attributing their challenges to natural causes, thereby ignoring the flaming missiles of satan directed at them. They are vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks because of their presumption that satan either does not exist or does not care about what they do.

Prayer: Pray for the strength to overcome every resistance the enemy will bring your way to prevent you from executing God’s mandate for your life.
