Topic: TAKE GOD BY HIS WORD
THEME SCRIPTURE:
Romans 3:4 (NKJV)
Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written:
“That You may be justified in Your words,
And may overcome when You are judged.”
MESSAGE:
If we’re going to have access by faith to what God has already prepared for us, then, we’ve got to learn to take Him by His Word.
Faith is taking God by His Word and acting on it. Our theme Scripture says, “...let God be true but every man a liar.” The verb “let” means, “To cause to” or “Make.” In other words, “Make God true and every man a liar.” This means, your life or circumstance will not change just because God has said it; you have to make God true, and you do so by taking Him at His Word and acting on it.
Perhaps, your life or circumstance depict a state of despair. Under such circumstance, there’s the tendency for you to abandon your fate to the belief, that, “It’s up to God.” Yes, it’s up to God, but that’s partial truth. The complete truth is that, it’s also up to you. Your faith in God demands that you make God true in your life and circumstance by taking Him at His Word and acting on it. This is not the same as denying the facts of your life and circumstance; rather, it is the act of using the truth of God’s Word concerning that area of your life and circumstance, to change the facts you see.
Until you make God true in your life, the enemy can make your circumstance seem to you that God doesn’t care. And yet, God cares! So, let God be true but every unpleasant circumstance a liar!
