THEME SCRIPTURE:
Colossians 3:16 (KJV)
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
MESSAGE:
The importance of using our faith to overcome the challenges of this world cannot be overemphasized. Even if your faith is as small as a mustard seed, you can move mountains if you know how to use that faith.
Romans 10:8 (NKJV) says, ‘But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach).” The Word of faith dwells in two places - in your mouth and in your heart! It’s okay to go ahead and be proclaiming the Word of faith with your mouth, but you cannot go very far with your faith proclamation, especially under severe trying situations, if that Word does not also dwell in your heart. Luke 6:45 (NKJV) says, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” Your heart is the treasure house for the Word of faith. If the Word of faith is not in your heart, it cannot spring forth through your mouth when you need it most. Out of the abundance of the heart your mouth speaks!
This is why our theme Scripture admonishes us to let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly in all wisdom. Enrich your heart with the Word of faith, and you’ll never be found wanting when you need to use your faith; because, out of the abundance of what you have in your heart, you’ll speak forth!
