Believers have tried over the years to have joy out of reverence for God in spite to the attacks of devil, demons and world against us. We try to have joy though we feel defeated again and again. The story will change today – we will have joy because we will see the devil defeated.
The seventy disciples of Jesus Christ returned with joy when the devils were subject to them. The seventy returned with Joy because of their comprehensive victory over the enemy. Luke 10:17-22
The comprehensive victory over the enemy covered victory over:
1. SPIRITS
The devils were subject to them – devils in verse 17 are included in spirits in verse 20. Present – the devils are subject to us.
2. SATAN
satan fell from Heaven like lightening and continues to fall after the same pattern. He fell swiftly and irreversibly. Past – I beheld satan as lightning fall from Heaven.
3. SERPENTS
Serpents, scorpions and nothing include evil spirits, human beings with animal instincts, animals and the destructive forces of nature that try to hurt believers. We have the power and revelation to deal with serpents, scorpions and all the power of the enemy. Future – nothing shall be any means hurt you.
4. SIN
Names written in Heaven refers to salvation from the power and destruction of sin and death.
Prayer: Pray for yourself, declare that you have victory over satan, serpents, spirits and sin.
