THEME SCRIPTURE:
Romans 13:11 (KJV)
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
MESSAGE:
Our Father in heaven expects you and me to be vigilant and watchful. Although we live in a present evil world, we must not permit the evil one to parade himself on our corridors.
Our theme Scripture says, “And that, KNOWING THE TIME, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep...” Do you know the time? Do you know it is high time we awake out of sleep? As far as our spiritual walk is concerned, “sleep” is a state of inertia; an attitude of indifference; a coldness towards the work of the Kingdom. Many of God’s children are not mindful of the work of the Kingdom; all they care about is themselves and nothing more. It’s not supposed to be like that! If you sleep when you’re supposed to be watchful, chances are that, you haven’t understood why you were not taken to heaven immediately you became a child of God. We were left here to bring into God’s kingdom many more souls, and whilst doing that, we’re mandated and expected to tame evil. Proverbs 14:19 (KJV) says, “The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.”
The righteous are mandated and expected to declare “No entry” to the wicked one! We’re to command the evil one with his wicked acts to bow, in the Name of Jesus! And it’s high time we wake up to do just that.
