THEME SCRIPTURE:
Daniel 4:26 (NKJV)
And inasmuch as they gave the command to leave the stump and roots of the tree, your kingdom shall be assured to you, after you come to know that Heaven rules.
MESSAGE:
Our theme Scripture is a reference to Daniel’s interpretation of king Nebuchadnezzar’s dream. According Daniel’s interpretation, God sought to bring Nebuchadnezzar to the realization that HEAVEN RULES!
How does heaven rule? Heaven rules when humankind call upon the Most High God and invite Him to our world through prayer. Earlier in verse 25 of the same chapter, Daniel pointed out God wanted Nebuchadnezzar to know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whoever He wills (Daniel 4:25).
The Most High God is on His throne in heaven; but He reaches out to us here on earth when we reach out to Him through prayer. Prayer in the Name of Jesus, is the only legitimate connection between heaven and earth!
When all men spoke one language on earth, they agreed to reach out to heaven by building a tower that could touch heaven; but God scattered their efforts because their mode of connecting heaven to the earth was illegitimate (Genesis 11:1-8).
Men ought to pray always and not to faint (Luke 18:1). Our natural efforts are so limited; we cannot combat the evil forces that seek to rule this world in our natural strength. We need to involve the supernatural; something superior to the natural, and that’s where prayer comes in.
We pray, not because we need things, but we need God! Why don’t you begin to connect heaven to your earthly situation?
