Month Theme: Manifestation
Topic: The Stewardship of the Sons of God
Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 2:1-22
Main Text:
Romans 8:19
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
The earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19). The sons of God are manifested to be celebrated, glorified and magnified. When we magnify or REVERE THEM, WE RECEIVE the blessing of the stewardship of their mantles, anointing or grace.
We are manifested as the “huios” of God to exercise stewardship over creation. The word steward in the 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 is the Greek word 'oikonomos' meaning governor, house-distributor, manager, overseer, treasurer, chamberlain or preacher.
The sons of the prophets bowed themselves to the ground before Elisha. They did not however, believe in the anointing. It was the leaders or men of the city who approached him in faith to place demands on the anointing. Unbelievers, unchurched people and those who are not pastors or elders in churches sometimes receive more from the anointing and grace than very religious people and pastors. The leaders of the city of Jericho entrusted the prosperity and welfare of the city to the stewardship of Elisha (2 Kings 2:19-22).
Prayer: Pray and declare that for your sake, your family and all around you will be blessed and preserved.
