Topic: WHEN YOUR OBEDIENCE IS FULFILLED
THEME SCRIPTURE:
2 Corinthians 10:6 (KJV)
And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
MESSAGE:
Our theme Scripture describes an aspect of the Christian warfare, and the kind of weapons we use in this warfare. We are to be ready to revenge all disobedience, when our obedience is fulfilled.
What does the phrase, “...when your obedience is fulfilled” in our theme Scripture, mean? Your obedience is said to be fulfilled when your soul is subject to you, that is, to your spirit, rather than to your flesh. The warfare described in 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (Read all), reveals that our soul is the battlefield. Your soul is made up of your mind, your will, and your emotions. When your soul is held captive by the flesh, the flesh leads it in the direction, contrary to the Will of God for your life. On the other hand, when your soul is submissive to your spirit, there is harmony is your human personality, because the Holy Spirit is able to guide your spirit when your soul is submissive to your spirit; the flesh has no choice, at this level, than to follow in that direction. Your obedience is said to be fulfilled when there’s harmony in your human personality; when the Holy Spirit is given the right of way, and your spirit, soul, and body follow in that direction.
We will deal with what our theme Scripture refers to as, “all disobedience” in our next devotion, but suffice it to say, that, when your obedience is not fulfilled, you’re also not ready to revenge all disobedience. Are you willing and ready to put satan and all his cohorts where they belong? Then, give the Holy Spirit the right of way, and your obedience will be fulfilled.
