Every branch in Me that bears no fruit, He takes away. And every branch that bears fruit, He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
John 15:2 MEV
You can be in Christ and still bear no fruit.
To bear fruit means to yield or get results, succeed, be effective, or be profitable.
But how is it possible to be Christ and still bear no fruit?
When you are in Christ, His Word must abide in you in order for you to bear fruit.
When the Word of God abides in you, it purges and cleanses you from all filth.
The process of purging is also known as pruning.
“How shall a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word.”
