Topic: DO EXPLOITS WITH YOUR FAITH
THEME SCRIPTURE:
Hebrews 11:32-34 (KJV)
[32] And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: [33] Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, [34] Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
MESSAGE:
The subject of faith is an unending discourse, because faith is as vital for victorious Christian living, as oxygen is vital for our existence on earth. Any child of God who stops talking faith, stops living the victorious Christian life.
Just as time failed Apostle Paul to talk about heroes of faith such as Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, and all the prophets of old, time and space may not allow us to discuss in intricate detail the subject of faith. We will, however, revisit this subject from time to time as the need arises. The bottomline in all our discourse on faith is that, faith in God enables us to do exploits; faith in the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ makes us superior to satan and all his cohorts. Our theme Scripture makes mention of how, through faith, the aforementioned people subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword; people, who through faith, were made strong out of weakness, and so on and so forth.
It’s our turn to add to the list of the heroes of faith in Hebrews chapter eleven. It’s our time to do exploits with our faith. Rise up and put your faith to work.
