Month Theme: Restoration
Topic: The Restoration of Health
Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 30:1-20
Main Text:
Jeremiah 30:17
17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
Next to the need for salvation and for that matter the restoration of the joy of salvation is the need for health and the restoration of health. The fulfillment of one’s purpose becomes a challenge when he or she loses his or her health. The good news however is that healing is the bread of the children (Matthew 15:21-28).
Two kinds of healing:
- Physical healing
The healing of wounds. No pain, no infection, no weakness and no death (Malachi 4:2). You are made whole. - Social healing
“Called outcast whom no man seeketh”. Many people are suffering from stigmatization, shame, depression, etc. Their social life is dead. In the time of restoration however, we will receive social healing; No shame, no rejection and no isolation (Isaiah 61:2-3).
God specialises in healing. He is Jehovah-Rapha (Exodus 15:26).
Prayer: Ask God to minister wholeness to your body. Pray also for the health of pastors around the world.
