Month Theme: The Anointing
Topic: Iron Sharpeneth Iron
Scripture Reading: Acts 10:30-40
Main Text:
Proverbs 27:17
17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
Iron sharpens iron. God sharpens gifts that are already in operation. God brings others your way to sharpen you for further gifts of the Holy Ghost to manifest themselves in you (Proverbs 27:17). A person sharpens another by instruction, impartation and investment.
God is sending help to the anointing on your life (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). Four levels of help:
1. Reward - Two “have a good reward for their labour” – their skills and anointings produce better results. The reward of the anointing is the result it produces.
2. Restoration - “If they fall, the one will lift up his fellow”. Misfortunes and tragedies can make us fall, and we need support.
3. Reheating - When two lie together, then they have heat. For example, when I visit Pastor Rod Parsley.
4. Resistance - “If one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken”.
Jesus Christ sent His disciples to minister in two twos. Luke 10:1 says “After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.”
Prayer: Pray that you will encounter that person who will help push you to your next level.
