Topic: REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAY
THEME SCRIPTURE:
Philippians 4:4 (KJV)
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
MESSAGE:
The believer in Christ can rejoice, not matter his/her circumstance, because joy is innate; joy is a part of the fruit of the recreated spirit of every child of God.
To rejoice, is to give joy to; to gladden. God will not ask you to do something if He hasn’t first put in you the ability to do so. When God tells us to rejoice in the Lord alway, He knows we can do that because He has already put joy in us at new birth. The King James Version of the Bible says, “Rejoice in the Lord ALWAY...” Alway is an old English word, which means, “All the way.” We are instructed to rejoice in the Lord all the way; whether we’re in the valley, or, on the mountain top; whether we go through fire, or through stormy waters; whether we’re having a wilderness experience, or we’re lying in green pastures; the instruction is: “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”
If we can be joy-inside-minded; if we will always remember that God has put joy in our recreated spirit, then, we can rejoice no matter our situation. Turn your attention from your external circumstance, and focus on the joy of the Lord in you. You have what it takes to rejoice in the Lord alway!
